02 - 2 cups ripe peaches, pitted and sliced (about 3 medium peaches)

→ Liquids

03 - 4 cups cold water
04 - 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)

→ Sweetener

05 - 2-4 tablespoons agave syrup or granulated sugar (to taste)

→ Optional Garnish

06 - Ice cubes

# Steps:

01 - Combine diced pineapple, sliced peaches, cold water, and lime juice in a blender. Blend on high speed until completely smooth and no fruit chunks remain.
02 - Taste the blended mixture and add agave syrup or sugar as desired. Blend briefly for 10-15 seconds to fully incorporate the sweetener.
03 - Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher. Press firmly with a spoon or spatula to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the pulp or reserve for smoothies.
04 - Refrigerate the agua fresca for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld, or serve immediately over ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and fruit slices if desired.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It tastes like a spa day in a glass but takes literally ten minutes
  • The natural fruit sweetness means you control the sugar, no weird aftertaste
  • Perfect for making ahead and it keeps getting better in the fridge
02 -
  • The strainer step is annoying but absolutely necessary unless you want a drink that feels like chewing on your salad
  • Do not skip the chilling time because the flavors really do marry and become something better
03 -
  • If your pineapple is not quite ripe you can add a tiny pinch of salt to trick your brain into tasting more sweetness
  • Mason jars are perfect for storing this because you can shake it up before pouring if any separation happens
