# Ingredient List:

→ Marshmallows

01 - 12 large marshmallows

→ Chocolate Coating

02 - 7 oz semi-sweet or milk chocolate, chopped

→ Toppings (optional)

03 - 2 tbsp rainbow sprinkles
04 - 2 tbsp chopped nuts (pistachios, hazelnuts, or almonds)
05 - 2 tbsp desiccated coconut

→ Other

06 - 12 wooden or paper lollipop sticks

# Steps:

01 - Insert a lollipop stick into each marshmallow, pushing about halfway through for stability.
02 - Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
03 - In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate over a pot of simmering water using the double boiler method or in short bursts in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
04 - Dip each marshmallow into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
05 - Immediately sprinkle your choice of toppings over the chocolate-coated marshmallows before the coating sets.
06 - Place the finished marshmallows upright on the prepared baking sheet.
07 - Chill in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes, or until the chocolate has completely set.
08 - Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • These come together in under thirty minutes but look like you spent hours on them
  • The customization possibilities mean you can match any holiday color scheme or party theme
02 -
  • Chocolate that gets even a drop of water will seize into a grainy mess, so keep your utensils completely dry
  • Work quickly once you start dipping because the chocolate sets surprisingly fast at room temperature
03 -
  • Warm your chocolate in short intervals and stir between each, because overheating destroys that glossy finish
  • Hold the dipped marshmallow over the bowl for a few extra seconds so gravity helps excess chocolate drip away evenly
